The Republican Club at Willow Valley Communities was formed in 2010 for Willow Valley residents in both the Lakes (Lakes Campus) and Locust (Manor Campus) election districts of West Lampeter Township. Our purpose is to involve residents in local, state, and federal election issues through education, discussion, and information.
We believe in faith, family and freedom. These values stem from the Declaration of Independence where we the people are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights that include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These rights are codified by our Founding Fathers in the Constitution of the United States.
The Club invites various speakers such as political leaders, elected officials, professors, candidates for office, and foundation officers. Attendees always have an opportunity for comments and questions. Programs include discussion of taxes, budgets, the county commission and the myriad of cultural issues affecting American society.
Willow Valley, and therefore we residents, pay about $4 million each year to West Lampeter Township for the Lampeter-Strasburg schools, police, and public works. As taxpayers we encourage active interest in all areas of our government.
The Club strongly encourages voting. We provide guidance and information on candidates for election at both primary and general election time.
The Club posts its meeting notices and special events via the WVC Weekly Insider, the WVC TV Channel, emails and our website. The website can be accessed at https://wvpagop.com or via the Willow Valley Communities Resident Intranet located under Quick Links, Clubs & Activity Groups.
There are no dues, but contributions are appreciated to help defray printing and program costs. All residents are welcome to attend our meetings regardless of party affiliation.
Meetings are usually held in the Cultural Center on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm with the exception of December.
The Club’s sponsors are the elected precinct committee men and women of West Lampeter Township as follows:
