The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act is a proposed U.S. federal law that would amend the National Voter Registration Act to require Americans to provide documentary proof of United States citizenship before they can register to vote in federal elections.

What YOU Can Do Now!

As of February 27, 2026, Senator Dave McCormick has indicated his support for the SAVE Act, but Senator John Fetterman has not formally indicated he will support it.

Contact Senator Fetterman’s office to urge him to vote in favor of the SAVE Act.

Here is an example of what you might communicate to him:

I believe the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act is a commonsense step toward strengthening trust in our elections by requiring clear documentary proof of U.S. citizenship before someone can register to vote — a safeguard that affirms only eligible citizens are added to voter rolls and helps prevent confusion or doubt about election outcomes.
